WHY BECOME A MEMBER OF THE OSCAR NETWORK IN CHRISTCHURCH?The NETWORK was established to support and represent OSCAR services. The OSCAR Network is an independent, not for profit organisation. We promote the sector, by providing support and encouragement for quality accessible programmes. We promote, support and network for safe, accessible and affordable OSCAR services centering on the needs of the child and their whanau. The OSCAR Network is constantly reviewing material, researching and responding to the needs of our sector. One of the outcomes is that this year we will be providing workshops around building resilience in staff, tamariki and whanau, in response to the earthquakes. Membership is open to any person or organisation that has an interest in, or provides an OSCAR service. The service may be not-for-profit, private provider, school managed, OSCAR extension to preschool, Trust, Church, Sports group, Kohanga Reo, Company or other agency. Membership of the OSCAR Network is not an endorsement of the standard of care being provided in an OSCAR programme. The OSCAR Network in Christchurch encourages OSCAR providers to operate quality services, however it is not a function of the OSCAR Network to accredit or assess OSCAR services. The benefits of your Network membership cover:
